Bio: 

 

 

Mary Gamarra is a Journalist with over 15 years of experience.  She currently balances her work as a TV Host, being a mother to her young children, Sebastian and Valentina and wife to her husband of 7 years.

 

She can currently be seen as the host of the Xfinity Latino Entertainment Channel, where millions of Hispanics tune in to learn about the different programming options Comcast offers in their own language.

 

Mary also works on Telemundo’s (part of the NBC Universal umbrella) high-rated news magazine show “Al Rojo Vivo,” interviewing prominent personalities in the world of politics, science, fashion and entertainment. 

 

In this role she has covered news events that have impacted not only the Hispanic community in the United States, but the world; such as the US apology to Guatemala for infecting mental patients with diseases without their consent, the Chilean miners rescue, as well as the US midterm elections.  

 

In addition, she often anchors different shows for the Telemundo Network and participates in their special programming events such as hosting the red carpet for the "Latin Billboard Music Awards". Her TV hosting work has also been featured on NBC’s “Sports Latin on Ice" and she has reported for MSNBC.

 

Prior to joining “Al Rojo Vivo,” Mary worked as co-host and weather anchor in shows such as Telemundo’s “Cada Día,” and several local stations across the nation. She started her broadcast journalism career at CNN en Español’s NY bureau, where she coordinated, produced and conducted interviews. 

 

She volunteers at numerous charitable projects including Big Brothers, Big Sister and the Women of Tomorrow.
